What is Rummikub.com?
Rummikub.com is the official site of Rummikub™. Bringing together the Rummikub community of millions of players from around the world.
Finally, the game that's sold over 40 million boxes throughout the world is available online.
Why should I play Rummikub online?
As you would play Rummikub out of the box with your family and friends; now you can play with those who are further away as well.
Today, families and friends often find themselves moving away from each other, for work, adventure or other reasons – we no longer necessarily live in close proximity to the people we love.
At Rummikub.com you can bring together your family, friends and other people you love, or you can get online and meet new people, make new friends and play the much loved game.
How much does it cost to play at Rummikub.com?
At the moment it is free to play on Rummikub.com. In the future premium services will be available through Club R.
What happens when I win?
At the end of each game a score table will appear on the screen. Naturally, your name will be placed at the top of the list and everyone will see you're the winner.
All game statistics are recorded in Your Stats. area and your scores and ratings are adjusted automatically.
Are there prizes?
Yes there are!! Club R is the exclusive Rummikub.com members club. Club R members have access to special features and receive special prizes. To learn more about special features available to club R members, click here.

Playing the game

I have just registered, how do I start playing?
The fastest way to start playing is to go to the lobby, select a room and sit down in an empty seat. Or you can open your own room and invite family and friends to play with you.
Information on opening rooms and inviting friends is available in the HELP area.
What happens if my game disconnects in the middle?
If your game is cut off in the middle, login again, go to lobby and click on one of the rooms – the system will then recognize you were in the middle of a game and ask you if you wish to go back to the room you were playing in. Your game will resume where you left off.
How do I add friends to my friends list?
You can add friends to your friends list by clicking 'friend request', once the person has approved the request, they will be added to your friends list.
What if I am in the middle of a call and need to quickly close my video?
You can close your camera at any time during the game, but be aware that you will be heard, until you disable the audio or mute your microphone.
What happens if my screen freezes?
If your screen freezes, click the RELOAD button on the top navigation bar. The screen will then refresh and you will find yourself back in the same game room you were in previously. Please do not click REFRESH on your browser or F5 on your keyboard.

My Account

How do I sign up?
Opening an account at Rummikub.com is FREE and easy. Go to www.rummikub.com and click “Sign up”, than simply complete your details.
Can I play more than one game at a time?
NO.
I forgot my password – what do I do?
Click on the 'Forgot your password?' link on the homepage, just below where you normally sign in. You will be asked to fill in your username and email address and an email will be sent to you with a temporary password and a link, follow the link, enter the temporary password then follow the instructions to reset your new password.
Make sure your password is not easy to guess or forgot and known only to you. Keep this password secure at all times.
How do I check my progress/status/rank?
All of your statistical information can be found in "My zone". You can also view your statistics during a game by clicking on the "Player Stat's" icon under your picture.
How is my rank determined?
Your player rating is calculated by the system using a complex algorithm developed by the US Chess Federation. The algorithm takes into account your wins and losses as well as your opponents' rank. Each player is rated: New Player, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced or Expert.
How do I change my account settings?
All players can view their account information and change their e-mail and password by clicking "more" (on the top right hand corner of the screen) and then selecting "Account".
How do I see my game history?
Your game history and statistical information can be found in "My zone". You can also view your history and statistics during a game by clicking on the "Player Stat's" icon under your picture.
How do I unsubscribe?
In order to unsubscribe from Club R, click this link, you will then be transferred to the Paypal site to unsubscribe.
If I decline a friend request, or I remove a person from my friend's list will the person find out?
In short – No. Your friends are your business. If you decline a friend request or delete a person from your friend list that person will not be notified.
How do I delete a person from my friend's list?
To delete a member from your friend’s list click on the delete button or icon next to their name.
How do I change / update my profile info?
Simply go to "Edit Profile" from the homepage. From there you can change your display name, birthrate, personal status, country of residence, write few words about yourself and share what are your favorite hobbies.

Safety and Privacy

Is my personal information secure?
At Rummikub.com we completly respect your privacy and confidentiality. We do not pass on or share your personal details with any 3rd parties and all information is encrypted and secure for your protection.
When will I be e-mailed?
Initially we will email you to verify your email address, then, from time to time we may send you service emails or notices of great improvements and developments as well as competitions and tournaments – only relevant information. And we'll keep it short and sweet.
What do I do if I'm being abused or spot improper behavior?
In order to provide a safe and pleasant gaming environment Rummikub.com has provided room owners with the tools to disable a player's video or mute their audio so that they cannot be seen or heard by other players in the room.

Should a player wish to report another player for improper behavior, they can simply email us at: support@rummikub.com with as many details as possible. We will then check, follow up and take appropriate action. Rummikub.com will not disclose your details.
What do I do if I find an explicit, hateful or otherwise objectionable profile?
We don't want any content like this on Rummikub.com and would appreciate you notifying us of any objectionable profiles. You can anonymously report offensive profile pictures and content by emailing us at: report_abuse@rummikub.com. You will be asked to specify the offensive content. Rummikub.com will review your complaint and will act to ensure all users comply with our Terms of Use so that Rummikub.com remains a trusted environment where people can interact safely.

For Parents

What if my child sees inappropriate content or offensive material?
Rummikub.com takes the safety of its users very seriously and makes significant efforts to take down any objectionable material that may be posted on the site. We encourage users to report offensive profiles, messages, groups and photos, please ensure to send us all the known details of the user to report_abuse@rummikub.com, this will ensure we track down the correct person. Reported items are then reviewed by customer support representatives and removed if deemed in violation of our Terms of Use.
How should I help my child use this site wisely?
The best thing to do is to talk to your children and teach them Internet safety. Remind them they:
  • Do not share password details with anyone.
  • Understand their privacy settings
  • Report people who violate our Terms of Use
  • Block anyone that might be sending unwanted content

Technical Issues

Are there any software requirements or downloads I need before I start playing?
Playing at Rummikub.com requires no software or special downloads. However, you will require Macromedia Flash 9 (or above) installed on your computer.
Does Rummikub.com work with every browser?
The site is designed to work with every browser.
I have a slow internet connection. Will that interrupt my ability to play?
Not usually. Rummikub.com is designed to work with all internet connections, so you shouldn’t have a problem. Your level of connectivity or signal strength is indicated by a green (Excellent), yellow (Good), red (Low) light on the top right hand corner of your video.
My “Firewalls” keep blocking me from playing, how do I shut them off?
In your Internet Explorer program there is an option to turn off firewalls. If this does not work enter the “Tools” tab and select “Internet Options”. In the security sections add Rummikub.com to your “Trusted Sites”. Also, if you have any external protections they might need to be turned off.
I am having problems logging in/opening the game?
There are two reasons you may have problems:
1. Your internet connection might have a popup blocker, in which case you need to check your internet security options and turn off any pop up blocker you have installed.
2. You may be experiencing a problem with your browser and need to clear your cache to continue logging in successfully.

3. Click clear across from the cache option

Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0
1. Open Internet Explorer. 2. Click Tools in the upper toolbar or click on the Tools icon.
3. Click Internet Options to open Internet Properties.
4. Click the General tab
5. Click Delete under "Browsing History".
6. Click Delete Files under "Temporary Internet Files".
7. Click Yes on the Delete Files dialog box.
8. Click Close and then OK.
The game window opens, but the game does not start, what should I do?
Your system might have installed a download accelerator that is preventing access to the game. Make sure to turn off any programs which might be disturbing your internet connection.
Is it available for Mac?
Yes, you can now enjoy Rummikub.com seamlessly across platforms whether you have a Mac
Is it available for Linux?
Yes.

Equipment

Do I need to have a webcam?
No, you can participate in Rummikub.com games without a camera. But we highly recommend that you use one, both so you can fully experience the fun and so that people can see who you are. When buying a webcam, be sure to get one that will produce good quality video.
Tip: You can often judge the quality of video by the price. A $10 webcam will probably not produce very good looking video while a $100 webcam is probably overkill. Something in the $30-$50 range should work just fine
Do I need to have a headset?
No, you can speak using a microphone and speakers but we highly recommend that you use a headset to avoid background noise. A headset allows you to better communicate with your Rummikub.com friends and your family while playing. For best quality audio we recommend using a headset (headphones with a microphone).
Tip: If you have a microphone built into your computer or laptop, just plug in a set of regular headphones to get rid of any echo

Social Issues

Does the system have an admin.?
Rummikub.com doesn’t have an admin., there are however 'room owners'. Rooms can be owned by the system, or by individuals who have decided to open a room and invite people to play. Anyone can open and 'own' a room.
How do I own a room?
Any player can choose to open and set up a new room or join an existing room. To open a new room go to 'Your room settings' and make your selections. Once you have saved your new room settings, your room will appear on the list of rooms in the Lobby. You are now the owner of the room and the only person who can open and close the room – this is done in the Lobby. You are also the only person who can change the room settings.
Can I chat with friends during a game?
There are two ways to chat to friends during a game, publicly or privately. As a viewer you can join a room's public chat.
